I cannot judge the content manual, but, seen all the warnings the text contains, I presume it is quite good. Pay attention to the “FileMaker 17” in the title to avoid being mislead. It shows changes compared to the previous versions and how to avoid serious mistakes. This manual is for those used to versions of FileMaker up to 16 who are using FM 17 for the first time. I seem to remember Haynes manuals being a lot better than this. These are reminiscent of ‘s newspaper photos, where the picture is made up of very coarse dots legible, but not very clear. And it doesn’t help when oils as listed only by specification, without SAE reference.īut, for me, the worst aspect is the terrible photos. Looking for anything in particular isn’t as straightforward as hoped. This does give a lot of useful information – BUT – with a layout that is very messy. Good information for beginners and good review for intermediate. Manual was too basic – was looking for coding examples, scripts, etc.
Worst book I purchased in long time from Amazon. This is not a how to learn using File maker Pro. If you want to shorten the learning curve to a successful application this is the book you should buy. This book puts Filemaker features in a context.
